So, I kind of have this theory that some things are better left up to the experts, and who better to descripe this lovely issue of Juxtapoz, but the fine folks at Juxtapoz... so here is their description...

A busy summer it has been all around in the art world, but in our home base of the San Francisco Bay Area, we have had two significant museum retrospectives that have made their way into the September 2012 issue of Juxtapoz. First off, we celebrate our cover story, Daniel Clowes, and his fantastic exhibition at the Oakland Museum of California, Modern Cartoonist: The Art of Daniel Clowes. Over the years, the iconic comic book artist has given us cult-followed works such as Ghost World, Eightball, Wilson, and numerous covers for The New Yorker.
We also got the chance to sit down with UK-based artist, David Shrigley, on the eve of his opening at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, and showcase some of Shrigley's excellent observational and witty fine art and installation work. We found out, amongst other things, that his favorite word is "fajita." It came up. We got it out of him.
September 2012 is crammed with an excellent range of interviews and profiles. Along with Clowes and Shrigley, we feature political cartoonist and artist, Guy Cowell (with an introduction from the esteemed Matt Gonzalez), we get into the mind of NYC-based stencil artist Logan Hicks on his newest exhibition in London, we find the Amsterdam-duo, The London Police, back together again, Mark Jenkins continues to push the boundaries of street art and public performance, and Boneface... well, you are going to like Boneface. We round out the issue with reviews of Cindy Sherman, Skate It or Hang It, we talk with Miss Van, and Morgan Spurlock talks to us. And Neil Krug's photography brings out the best in contemporary fashion and music photography.
