We've been back from San Diego for a little over a week now and are just now starting to feel like ourselves again. First off, thank you to everyone who visited the booth, whether you purchased something or not! The best part of SDCC for me is getting to see friends, customers, artists and other store owners. The designer toy community is a fairly small handful of folks so it's nice to get a lot of us in one place and enjoy each other's company.
Shout outs to Mark Nagata, Touma, Ferg, Tim Biskup and Shawn Smith who all did signings at the booth. Thank you guys for everything that you do!
Also, major props to our main man Ed Gielow, Rotofugi Store Manager, who made his first trip to SDCC this year. I'm sure he now knows why we're always so tired when we get back! And of course, nothing but love for Joe Somers, our partner in crime at Squibbles Ink, and for Jon Gorske, our once-a-year helper who went above and beyond once again this year.
In case you're curious, we sold out of many of our San Diego releases, but a few items are still available:
One of our main releases, the Glow in the Dark Grim Marshall, will be making a return in September. We had initially air-freighted in 250 pieces for San Diego and have now sold through those. The remaining 750 pieces will be arriving in September.
The other big debut for us was the Roto-a-Matic Helper Dragon by Tim Biskup. While we are not currently selling the Helper Dragon online, that will soon change. We're making some final alterations to the Roto-a-Matic to ensure we can run it day in and day out right now and hope to have it ready to roll full time (and thus be able to make Helper Dragons for online sales too) in the very near future. Keep an eye on our site for updates.
